You pushed your rig to the limit on hot days, running the AC off a 30-amp hookup or a generator - and it barely keeps up. This high-efficiency unit from GE Appliances cools faster, draws less power, and keeps up when your old system couldn't.
Looking to stay cool without stressing your electrical system? This high-efficiency unit delivers full-capacity cooling with a focus on energy-conscious performance. It's built for RVers running on smaller generators, limited shore power, or older rigs with tight electrical margins, so you stay comfortable without overloading your setup.
Ductless air conditioners move air straight into the RV without relying on ceiling ductwork, making them ideal for smaller rigs, retrofits, or any setup where simplicity matters. With a ductless system, what you see is what you get: a rooftop unit connected directly to a ceiling assembly that pushes steady airflow into your living space. They're also perfect for adding a second AC to areas that never cool down properly, like an upper bunk or bonus room. If your RV has no ductwork, a ductless setup gives you cooling power you can feel.
A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances 13,500-BTU White High-Efficiency Ductless RV Air Conditioner System. Now, this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or to add an air conditioner system to your RV ductless system in your small to medium-sized camper, and this high-efficiency 13,500-BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool evenly and it's gonna handle harsh road conditions very well. All of this from a brand that you know and trust. Now, this is going to use the more energy-efficient R-32 refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations, so being that that's the case, this unit will not be backwards-compatible with any air conditioner system from 2024 and earlier. This will be a bolt-on installation with the included hardware that you see there, and this is going to fit roofs from two inches to six-inches thick with an opening size of 14 3/8 of an inch long and 14 3/8 of an inch wide.
And this is going to measure the overall length right about 32 13/16-inches long, the overall width, 26 1/8-inches wide, the overall height, 13 15/16-inches tall, and this weighs a little under 80 pounds. So, this unit is gonna run pretty quiet for you because the motor has sound-dampening grommets to help reduce that annoying humming and vibration. And this should be a pretty easy swap for most RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening, and this is also built tough for the road. This does feature high-grade materials that are going to withstand extreme UV rays and constant vibration, and this does feature this white, hard, automotive-grade polymer shroud that's going to protect the internal components from water and debris.
And it's only held in place by four Phillips-head screws, so if you ever need to take it off and do any cleaning or maintenance, you just gotta pop those screws out, take the cover off, and when you're done with the maintenance, you can replace the cover and the screws, and you'll go right on down the road. The wiring harness is tucked in underneath, so you'll just have to pull the wires down from underneath when you're getting ready to install this. And just a tech tip, you do wanna keep the rear of this air conditioner at least 18 inches away from any obstructions. Let's take a closer look at this side of the table here to show you the components. So, this does come with an air-distribution box, and this is built to handle road vibrations and everyday RV life.
And I wanted to give you some measurements of the unit itself, so the overall width and length is gonna be right at about 21 inches, and then when you have this mounted up in your ceiling, it's going to come down from your ceiling about two or 2 1/2 inches or so. And we get this white thermostat. Lemme bring this closer up to you here. So, this is a single-zone thermostat and this is going to include these easy-to-use buttons and then a really nice, backlit display. It's large so you're gonna be able to easily see the temperature and the settings.
And so this is also going to include hardware to get this installed into place. So, white thermostat is included, along with our control box here, and this is a fireproof control box. And as you know, the control box is the brain that manages how the air conditioner unit is going to operate and function. So, this is included as well. Here are the bolts to install the air conditioner into your roof. Air divider, additional hardware for the air-distribution box. So, you're basically gonna get everything that you need to install this, and this is from a trusted brand, a reliable name, GE, that you know, especially for appliances inside the home, but you're gonna get that same reliability and trustworthiness with this system inside of your RV as well. Now, if you decide that this is going to be the unit that's gonna work best for you, that's great, we would definitely love to hear back from you after you get this installed and up and running, and you can share your experiences with the installation and the operation with us either by dropping a comment or a review on this product page. We would really love to hear back from you, and especially see pictures of this air conditioner on your rig. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
